Epidermolysis Bullosa is a family of blistering disorders caused by an absence of basement membrane component due to underling gene mutation, it is classified into four categories: (1) epidermolysis bullosa simplex (intraepidermal skin separation). (2) junctional epidermolysis bullosa (skin speration in lamina lucida or central basement membrane zone). (3) dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (sublaminal dense basement membrane zone separation). (4) kindler syndrome (extremely rare, blistering at any level).
