Acne vulgaris is a very common chronic dermatological condition that results due to occlusion and or inflammatory insult of the pilosebaceous unit. This condition can manifest as non-inflammatory comedones (open or closed) or inflammatory papules, pustules, and nodules and is clinically presented as localized pain, tenderness, or erythema.
