Hydrocele

Hydrocele is a collection of fluid around the testicle that presents as a scrotal swelling. Most commonly seen in young babies, it presents in the form of a painless swelling. Types of hydrocele: Communicating hydrocele: The swelling communicates with the abdominal cavity resulting in passage of fluid into the sceptic from the cavity. Non-communicating hydrocele: Consists of a closed sax with fluid contained inside it. No communication between the swelling and the abdominal cavity.
