Amiodarone is an antiarrhythmic agent indicated in atrial fibrillation, ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia. One of the side effects of prolonged amiodarone use is blue-gray discoloration of the skin. It is a common finding in dermatological setup. The diagnosis is based on the history of drug use and confirmed by histopathological investigations. The skin discoloration caused by amiodarone is reversed by discontinuing the drug. In recalcitrant cases, local depigmentation therapies and the use of sunscreen can improve the condition.
