ONYCHOMYCOSIS

This is a type of fungal infection of the fingernails or toenails in which thickening, and separation from the nail bed occurs sometimes with discoloration.The increased prevalence in older individuals is because of the conditions like peripheral vascular disease, immunologic disorders, and diabetes mellitus. The risk of this condition is highly increased in diabetic patients. The medication for this condition is antifungal creams.
