Metastasis is defined as spread of tumour in such a way that discontinuous secondary tumour mass/ masses are formed at the site of lodgement. Spread of tumours can occur through :- 1.Lymphatic spread 2.Haematogenous spread 3.Spread through body cavities or natural passages .
