Yellow Fever Virus is a flavivirus with one serotype. It occurs in tropical regions of Africa and South America. There are two types of Yellow fevers: 1. Jungle yellow fever: It is a disease of monkeys, transmitted by mosquitoes, Haemagogus mosquito, to Humans which are the host. 2. Urban yellow fever: It is a disease of humans, transmitted by mosquitoes, Aedes aegypti.
Because one of the symptoms of Yellow fever is jaundice which causes yellow discoloration of the skin.
