Treating a brun depends on the area, the type and the degree of burn. Superficial burns cam be treated simply by applying ointments.
Burning is a major injury. You can take care of first and minor second degree burns at home. But for severe cases you need to rush to the hospital immediately. For minor burns you can do the following. - Place the burn area under cold running water. Make sure the water is running and not still e.g. in a bucket or pot. - Apply antibiotic ointment or antiseptic spray. - Wrap a gauze bandage around the affected site. Make sure it is not tight. - Take over-the-counter painkillers e.g. Acetaminophen and NSAIDs - Do not apply toothpaste on the affected area as it blocks the heat inside and deteriorates condition.
Apply lidocaine gel after washing if it's too painful! don't use any home remedies-oil or toothpaste, only running tap water at room temperature
