Myasthenia gravis is a autoimmune disorder in which antibodies form against nicotinic receptor so, acetyl cholin not bind to receptor and cause weakness of muscle which lead to progressive muscle waisting.

Autoantibodies are formed against tha nicotinic receptors. Treatment is anticholineesterases like neostigmine, physostigmine. Treatment to stop disease progression are corticosteroids, immunosuppressive agents like cyclosporine.,surgical resection of thymus may also required
