Hemifacial Avulsion Degloving In 25-Year-Old Female Patient
A 25-year-old female patient presented to the emergency with hemifacial avulsion and degloving. The patient had allegedly been assaulted by the husband with a sickle over the left side of the face. Examination showed avulsions and degloving of the left side of the face including the nose, skin on the forehead, left side of the eyebrow, lower eyelids and part of the cheek. I wanted to comment on the post-op picture also. The team that did the reconstruction on her face is very skilled. Was there any lose of felling in her face or nerve damage? Would the side that was worked on possibly drup or stay the same with time and aging. Did she stay with her husband and what country did this happen in.
