Chocolate-coloured serum
A 53-year-old man presented with desaturation, cyanosis, and chocolate-coloured serum. What is the most likely cause? A) Thalassemia B) Methemoglobinemia C) Drepanocytosis D) Carbon monoxide poisoning

Methemoglobinemia is oxidized HB (Fe+3) while the normal HB is reduced one ie (Fe+2). This oxidized HB can not carry oxygen lead to cyanosis and treated by methylene blue and vitamin c. MetHbenemia is hereditary or acquired.
