The human body stripped of fat, muscle and bone tissue, with just the vasculature preserved and exposed in a process of plastination!! This is the circulatory system as a whole, with the largest blood vessel, the aorta, visible at the center! A vast network of organs and vessels that is responsible for the flow of blood, nutrients, hormones, oxygen and other gases to and from cells. The principle by which preservation of the blood vessels is done is pretty simple, injection of a solution, more precisely - liquid plastic (or resin). An incision is made in a vein in the foot, then injection of the plastic into a vein in the neck - the blood gets pushed out the foot, and the plastic fills out the rest of the vessels, which harden them and keeps them safe while dissolving everything else with an acid. Totally made up from a shocking 60,000 miles (96,560 kilometers) of blood vessels!!! Exhibit on the body worlds exhibition.
