Stab wound

27 year old young male was rushed into the trauma pit one night by his hysterical friends from an illegal lockdown party after being stabbed with a knife by another male during a brawl. He had sustained a single deep stab to his left flank. Upon presentation, he appeared to be clinically stable, however heavily intoxicated not requiring much of analgesics. There was obvious evisceration of small bowel segments with significant injury requiring immediate exploratory laparotomy; as well as this entire blob of squirming strange noodles. TAPEWORMS!!! A.k.a “Cestodes”!!! Not sure if this perpetrator did him a favour or not...
