Na+ K+ ATPase | Sodium Potassium pump | Cell transport pump

Hey! Let's brush up our basics on the Na+ K+ pump. This video gives you a detailed insight into the sodium potassium transport mechanism which is operating in all the Eukaryotic cell membrane and serves many important cellular functions. It is a primary active transport mechanism in which ATP is utilised for transporting 3Na+ ions out of the cell and 2K+ ions into the cell. Since it utilizes phosphorylation dephosphorylation process for transporting ions , it is known as a P type ATPase.
