Study with a good atlas like Netter. Take note of the neighboring structures and how everything connects.
Oh,I'm a first year medical student too,and I suffered at the beginning, then I found my own style of studying.I use Atlas of human anatomy for a German doctor you can use any Atlas you like such as netter
Yes as mentioned above visual aid is the key to doing great in anatomy! Find a good atlas, like betters or even greys anatomy. Stare at the picture for a while then cover it n try to explain it to yourself the related structures the important land marks etc, then once you have the structure memorized you can move on and memorize the theory part. Visual aid is going to help you understand anatomy and make it much easier for you to remember the theory part as well! Good luck!
In addition to 2D atlases like Grey's and Netter's, I found that using a 3D atlas app on my phone or laptop was very helpful! This way, not only can you see things for yourself, but you can also navigate the body from any angle you want to get the complete picture :) I recommend Visual Body Human Anatomy Atlas, it's great with lots of features and even has a radiology section so you can correlate gross anatomy with clinical radiology! But I guess any other 3D atlas would do the trick. Best of luck in your journey :)
Hello my fellow Turkish colleague, my name is also Elif and I'm a third year student. About anatomy, I can relate that it is a hard course and requires a lot of effort and self sacrifices π π my advice to you is, please have text book in addition to an anatomy atlas. You can actually download the atlas to your phone or tablet. This way you can review anything at anytime (i was reviewing everything we covered in the class that day when i was on the bus homeπ€). Also I strongly recommend watching youtube videos, since there are a lot of teachers explaining even the smallest details on the internet. It will help you understand, memorise and recall quicker... But the most important thing is: never give up! Sometimes it feels that it is too much, but at the end of the year, you will have a new and different perspective of the science of medicine! πbest of luck my friend..
