Spore size and appearance inside (endothrix) or outside (ectothrix) the hair shaft distinguish organism. For treatment>> oral griseofulvin for 4-6 weeks.

Diagnose by use of KOH pottasiom hydroxide scrash on the lesion the content put on the slide add 70-80% koh then boil for 5-10mins to visualize the fungi. Trxt antifungals
