Loa Loa Filariasis

Also known as the African eye worm, it is a skin and eye disease caused by the nematode worm, loa loa. It is contracted through the bite of a Deer fly or a Mango fly.

The treatment of this worm is surgically removing the worms in the eye and giving medicationa like Antihelminthic drugs - Albandazole or Mobendazole.
