Removal of a metastatic brain tumor (view through the surgical microscope)

60+ year old lady who presented with first onset of seizure. MRI of the brain showed a tumor in the left parietal brain adjacent to falx cerebri. She had no focal neurological deficit and further work up revealed a primary lung tumor. She was indicated for surgical resection of brain tumor which is buried deep in the brain. Tumor was resected without any harm to the brain. She remained tumor free and returned to normal function.
