Bancroft’s filaria. A sheathed microfilaria filled with nuclei. However, tail is free of nuclei. Common symptoms are eosinophilia and elephantiasis. Giemsa stained blood films is the method of choice. It is usually transmitted by Cudex, Aedes, and Anopheles vectors. DEC with albendazole and ivermection are used for treatment.
