Hey, I'm 4th year medical student, just 2 yrs left in medical school and I'm really screwed 😭. I like medicine but I'm lazy, i used to study just for the exams, I don't have a good basic science knowledge, I'm taking internal medicine this semester but you know everything is about basics (anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharma) i wasted my time and i regret it, but now I'm determined, i want to waste no more time. What advice should you give me? How can i ace the clinical and basic sciences? Please your ideas are important to me 🙏
Hii...i would recommend you using Step Up for internal medicine but the basic sciences is revised for only physiology that you can have a look in step up for usmle step 1 as these two books are concised and help you do it in less time
Don't worry.. this is a continuously learning field.. keep learning gradually..
Go for dr. Najeeb videos ...he starts teaching from very basic .. best recommend for non clinical subjects
Najeeb videos...even a non medico will understand his lecture...and don't forget to make notes so you don't have to watch it again
U gotta love what you’re doing.. study cause u r couriers about things 😉 be smart
Put effort and start studying internalmed gradually you will be aware of basics. Don't go for najeeb videos it's bullshit and time consuming. And stop insta and pubg. if you want more confidence and guidance mail me g4gokul@outlook.in
YouTube vids help, and I recommend spaced repetition when it comes down to memorizing terms. Spaced repetition is proved to be effective when studying for tests or exams, because it converts your short term memory of the content to long term.😊
Be consistent is my only advice. Anki every day, make your own cards, ask yourself questions for active recall. Don’t break yourself by overloading. Just be consistent. I think building muscle is a good analogy. Bodybuilders don’t spend 12hrs a day in the gym. They spend maybe 2hrs but they do it EVERY DAY. You’re brain is like a muscle. 2 hours a day for a year will gain you more than 12 hours a day for a month.
