Inflammation of meninges that surround brain and spinal cord the causes may viral bacterial which is the most serious one and other causes .the sign fever 🤒 and in bacterial meningitis rash .and maybe neck stiffness also there is two important signs brudzinski and Kernig sign

If you had a viral meningitis, no concluded encephalitis, so its painful but mostly harmless. You will be cure. But by any bacterial meningitis your live be threatened and if you survive, often you suffered of late damage.

The inflammation can happen because of infectious or non-infectious reasons which infectious is most common(especially infection by bacteria) It has a classic triad:fever,headache and nuchal rigidity. Bacterial meningitis is an emergency and golden time for empirical AB therapy is 1 hour(even before LP)
