Nephitic syndrome (as name suggests - ITIS-it is about inflammation) is caused by inflammation of glomerulus involving large pores in the podocytes which allow passage of rbc and proteins (haematuria+proteinuria) but nephrotic syndrome is due to some damage in glomerulus but involves proteinuria (not haematuria)..most common protein is albumin. there are many causes of nephrotic syndrome.
