Hi everyone πŸ˜€πŸ˜Š I am in my final year of High school and I really want to go study medical especially specializing into Cardiothoracic Surgery. I just want to know if it is worth it and what it's like being one ? Also what I should focus on in my last year of school ? Thank you πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜‡ #CardioSurgery #FinalSchoolYear #NeedAdvice #WantToStudyMedical

try to assist in such surgeries, go morning rounds with doctors to see how it really is, my impression is you see mainly intubated patients with low survival rate so this may be different where you work so its difficult to tell if you dont see for yourself

Three years later and I only see your reply now! 😱 2 years ago I got accepted into med school and I am already halfway with the course!!! I started med school in January of 2019 and it has been a huge journey since then. I have attended many surgeries and gained a lot of exposure as you said and I’m starting to work in the hospitals now… I am so satisfied with what I am doing now and couldn’t imagine anything else!!! Thank you so much for this reply 😊
