How do you dx cardiac tamponade? We look for 3 things, one of them you can see in the picture! It shows jugular vein distention, which is quite massive! These 3 things are called Beck's triad which is a collection of three medical signs associated with acute cardiac tamponade, an emergency condition wherein fluid accumulates around the heart and impairs its ability to pump blood. The signs are low arterial blood pressure, distended neck veins, and distant, muffled heart sounds. This is emergency, how do you save the patient? @medicalcortex #medicalstudent #medstudent #cardiology #cardiacarrest #ventricularfibrillation #nurse #cardiologia #cardiacsurgery #emergency #heart #premed #usnle #surgery #fibrillation #cpr #defibrillator #premed #usmle #emergency
