An interesting photo, showing how dirt doesn't stick to the scar. Can you guess why?

A scar is an area of fibrous tissue that replaces normal skin after an injury. Scars result from the biological process of wound repair in the skin, as well as in other organs and tissues of the body. Because it's a collagen matrix, it sometimes doesn't have the same properties as normal skin thus not containing sweat glands and as a result, no dirt/dust sticks to it. The sweat glands are not present on the scar tissue, so there is no water on the surface of the scarred skin for the dirt to stick to.
