Dupuytren's Contracture Release

Dupuytren's Contracture Release

Dupuytren's disease is a hereditary condition that causes a contracture of the fingers. Thick bands of scar-like-tissue form making it difficult to do simple tasks such as washing one's face or eating. This video demonstrates the detailed surgery to identify and protect the nerves and then remove this tissue which releases the contractures and restores normal function enabling the fingers to fully straighten.
