Mitral annuloplasty ring (St. Jude)
Used during mitral valve surgery. The surgeon tried to repair the mitral valve with this mitral ring because there was mitral regurgitation. But during surgery he saw it wasn’t enough to repair the mitral valve insufficiency. Therefore the surgeon performed a mitral valve replacement with a biological valve.
