This incredible personal case from last January was sent to me by @hollatojenny , which had a cyst attached to her lower part of the Brain Stem between the cerebellum and medulla oblongata (above her spinal cord). She had underwent emergency brain surgery while knowing that the outcome might be complicated with memory loss and no motor skills for around a year. She was undertaken for emergency suboccipital craniectomy, the cyst expanded when the surgeon lifted the cerebellum and popped out the back of the cyst dragging the cord with it. Drainage of the cyst was done, and the cord returned back to its place. Surprisingly enough, postoperatively, she woke up with memory and motor skills, as well as normal vital signs, the room bursted into tear. She's doing well ever since. π
