This case is referred to as Zygomaticomaxillary complex (ZMC) fracture, which in this case includes the fractures of the inferior orbital rim and maxillary sinus walls. You can see the crushed orbital bone after exposing the site with subciliary incision approach. ZMC fractures are the second most common facial bone fracture after nasal bone injuries. The fracture complex results from a direct blow to the malar eminence and results in three distinct fracture components that disrupt the anchoring of the Zygoma.A postoperative picture following fixation will come soon.
