Please help me I want to understand the combination of drugs like in antibiotics we have AMOXILLIN, why are combined AMOXILLIN+CLAVULANIC????

Clavulanic a lactam drug that functions as a lactamase inhibitor. It is not effective by itself for an abx, but when paired will any penicillin group abx, it can help overcome abx resistance in bacteria that may secrete lactamase, which can inhibit or otherwise “deactivates” most penicillins. 😊

Amoxicillin => for the bactéria Clavulanic => the résistance by the production of bêta lactamase

To overcome resistance caused by beta lactamase towards penicillin group of drugs ...so we use clavulanic acid (beta lactamase inhibitor) along with amoxicillin(penicillin)
