Hi .. i want to ask something , whats the different between phlegmon and empyema in suppurative inflammation??

Hi, the empyema is a suppurative collection in a cavity (like the subdural space) whereas the phlegmon forms in the subcutaneous tissue, it is basically an extensive abcess.
