● Yellowish lesions seen in buccal and labial mucosa.
● They are ectopic sebaceous glands and do not have any erythematous halo.
● Seen in upto 80% of population.
● No clinical significance.
Points to Remember
● Forchhiemer spots: seen in rubella, infectious mono nucleosis and scarlet fever.
● Rothe’s spots: seen in Infective endocarditis
● Rose spots: seen in Typhoid fever
● Kopliks spot: seen in Measles (above the second molar).
