Indian medical student Manushi Chhillar wins Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar (born 14 May 1997) is an Indian medical student who was crowned Miss World 2017. She was previously crowned Femina Miss India 2017 on 25 June 2017. Chhillar was born in Haryana. Her father, Dr. Mitra Basu Chhillar, is a scientist at the Defence Research and Development Organisation, while her mother, Dr. Neelam Chhillar, is an associate professor and department head of neurochemistry at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences. Chhillar studied at St. Thomas' School in New Delhi, and is pursuing a medical degree at the Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonipat.
