Hello everyone! I'm a high school student and I want to take up medicine as a career. I really need help in electing subjects. Is it important to select maths along with science as a high school subject for universities?
Maths no, you need BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, and some physics... english will help you too
Entry requirements vary, but to get on a medical degree you normally need at least five GCSEs at grades A* or A, including English and maths and at least grade B in science. You also need a minimum of three A levels at grades AAA or AAB in chemistry and either biology, physics or maths, plus another academic subject.
You don’t necessarily need math but you shouldn’t stop taking it I’m a senior in heigh school and I decided to stop taking math my last year it wasn’t a good decision since for college some ask for u to have had pre calc classes or any advanced math as requirements also for the placement tests
