The improved outcomes in surgical correction and palliation in children with CHD have led to an increasing population of adults with CHD who may develop complications and indications for HTx. This population often warrants increased evaluation of organ systems, including pulmonary function, liver function/cirrhosis, and renal function, given the long-standing effects of palliated CHD on the various organ systems. The published guidelines previously mentioned specifically address the indications and contraindications in this population
