Ugly Duckling stage. 🦆🐤🐤🐤🐦 A transitory stage of dental development, usually between the ages of 7 and 14years, following by the eruption and exfoliation of the permanent canines when the upper incisors are tipped laterally due to the absence of permanent canines. (Distalization) This developmental stages leads to a temporary median Diastema which disappears later by totally erupted Canines.
