Medial Thigh Muscles

The Hip Adductors! Know the 5 muscles. ⁣ ⁣ Gracilis (not shown): adducts thigh ⁣ Obturator Externus: laterally rotates thigh⁣ Adductor Brevis: adducts thigh⁣ Adductor Longus: adducts thigh⁣ Adductor Magnus: adducts and flexes thigh, hamstring part extends thigh⁣ ⁣ All Medial compartment thigh muscles are innervated by the obturator nerve, except the hamstring part of Adductor Magnus - this is done by Tibial Nerve. Obturator Nerve comes from the lumbar plexus L2-L4. Arterial supply is the obturator artery. ⁣ ⁣ Also shown are the various ligaments which we will go into further detail, get familiar! ⁣ ⁣ If you haven’t already, check out our ‘The arteries of the Stomach’ video. It’s a great review and it’ll be easy to draw along and learn the pathways. Be sure to check it out and subscribe to our channel on YouTube! (Link in bio)⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Instagram @rev.med ⁣⁣⁣
