Benign tumors develope locally and does not multiply and develope at other location...where as malignant tumor primarily develepes at one sight and gets multiplied and its cell gets sloughed away and flows with blood to different sight of the body and a new tumor developes there as well..this property is called as metastasis..this is is the most feared property of the malignant tumor...Malignant tumor turns cancerous

malignant multiplicate cells with no control, making cells get no vascularization and producing cancer cells to appear.

The benign tumors grow locally and can not spread by invasion or mets and it can be surrounded by capsule ... on the other hand the malignant tumors grow faster and invade the surrounding tissues enter the bloid vessles and mets and it is not capsulated

Malignant will show metastasis and benign won't. That's the main difference.
