The wrist is a complex joint that bridges the hand to the forearm. It is actually a collection of multiple bones and joints. The bones comprising the wrist include the distal ends of the radius and ulna, 8 carpal bones, and the proximal portions of the 5 metacarpal bones. Here is a mnemonic (radial to ulnar side): Some Lovers Try Positions That They Can Handle Scaphoid, Lunate, Triquetrium, Pisiform (proximal row) Trapezium, Trapezoid, Capitate, and Hamate (distal row) ScaFoid is commonly Fractured (causes avascular necrosis of proximal end) Lunate is commonly disLocated (causes median nerve damage - on the radial side) Fracture of Hook of Hamate (ulnar side) causes ulnar nerve injury.

There’s a pretty good one in German, but you can’t translate it unfortunately
