Decompression of large lesion.

(A) Extensive periradicular lesion that has failed to resolve. Coronal leakage in either treated tooth is possible. (B) A surgical opening to defect is created; a polyethylene tube extends into the lesion to promote drainage. (C) After partial resolution, root end resection and filling with amalgam are performed.
