Allergic Mucosal Reaction to Systemic Drug Administration.

Bilateral erosions of lower labial mucosa with intermixed striae. Biopsy revealed lichenoid pattern of mucositis but with numerous plasma cells intermixed with the lymphocytes. The erosions ultimately were proven to be associated with simvastatin. B, Same patient depicted in A after discontinuation of simvastatin.
