Insulinomas make insulin, the hormone that lowers your blood sugar levels. When an insulinoma releases too much insulin, your blood sugar level dips, causing the following symptoms: Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Weakness. Confusion. Sweating. Rapid heartbeat. Loss of consciousness. Coma. Seizures.
