Cystoid macular edema

Cystoid macular edema

The macula makes up the center of vision and is the most critical area for best visual sharpness. When fluid swells the macula, it typically does so in cyst-like patterns; this condition is called cystoid macular edema. Only an eye doctor can recommend the right treatment for someone with cystoid macular edema.
