No way... If u look at greys anatomy for example u'll see surgeons are doing jobs nurses would do or a regular MD...also romance is way over exaggerating in those kinds of shows.. And let's not mention that some of the stuff is a actually fake and not real diagnoses or even procedures...
Never. LOL i teach CPR and I have to disclose " you do not shock when theres a flatline" silly T.V.
I read recently that fine vfib can be mistaken for asystole and shock can actually be indicated. Cardiac ultrasound is usually performed to confirm.
My favorite medical TV show moment shows a ventilator hooked up to nasal prongs 😂😂
I think most shows do not protray with very much accuracy. I have had some luck with a few, code black for example which shows several pretty accurate procedures. I mostly like to stick to documentary style so I can be sure the info is accurate 🙆
Discovery life channel has lots of medical shows that are either documentaries or real stories from doctors. Some of my favorites are Untold stories of the ER, diagnose me, and blizarre ER. But there's tons more! There's also a couple short documentaries on Netflix and Hulu that are about specific cases of people with rare diseases and those are fun to watch too!
