Swetakutaja

Swetakutaja (Wrightia tinctoria Par.) is also known as Dudhi ( Hindi), Ivory wood ( English) etc. It is widely available in India and South East Asia. This plant is a small sized tree or large shrub which grows about 4 to 14 metres height. Leaves are long and oppositely arranged. White coloured flowers bloom between March and June. Usually, leaves, bark and seeds of this plant are used in #Ayurvedic_preparations. #Uses: 1. Coconut oil mixed with crushed fresh leaves of Swetakutaja when kept in sunlight for a whole day is useful for external application in #psoriasis. 2. Decoction prepared with leaves and bark of this plant is useful in curing #fever, #diarrhoea, #abdominal_pain etc. 3.Sweets made of baked seeds can improve #vigour 4. Decoction prepared with bark powder is an effective remedy for #kidney_stones
