Most often, hyperviscosity syndrome causes: Headaches. Seizures. Reddish skin tone. Less commonly, it may also cause: Chest pain. Difficulty walking. Hearing problems. Irregular bleeding, such as bleeding gums or chronic nosebleeds. Shortness of breath (dyspnea). Vertigo. Vision changes.
