Hyperthyroidism vs. Hypothyroid RN LPN NCLEX

Today’s video is all about hyperthyroidism vs hypothyroidism for Nursing Students and NCLEX Review. For your FREE quiz and access to more full-length videos, click here: http://bit.ly/3E9XMY6 Hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism are two different conditions that affect the thyroid gland. Hyperthyroidism occurs when the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone and can cause symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, weight loss, and feeling very warm or hot. On the other hand, hypothyroidism occurs when the thyroid gland doesn't produce enough thyroid hormone, and causes symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, and difficulty concentrating. Both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism are treatable with medication and the right nursing interventions. #NCLEX #endocrine
