Advance uterus cancer on a 76 year old woman that presented with abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding and history of weight loss and constipation. The malignancy had taken all over the uterus and its posterior wall not allowing the removal of the uterus. We also found metastasis to the lungs. Really bad prognosis. Because of the obtruction and the failure to treat the primary cause we decided to do a colostomy to help relife and prevent a more severe bowl obstruction.
Please tell me why the uterus couldn’t be removed because the cancer was on the outside of it?
