Mydriasis

Mydriasis

What is mydriasis? Mydriasis occurs when an individual's pupils (the black opening in the center of the eye that regulates light entry), become dilated, or larger. Although this occurs as a normal response to light, mydriasis may also occur as a result of other, less common, underlying causes.
