The "Missing“ Ring

The "Missing“ Ring

This patient "twisted" his finger two weeks earlier, straightened it and continued as an "old handball player". As a result of the swelling, the ring disappeared, which became increasingly painful, so he came to our emergency room. The X-ray image shows an old spiral fracture of the basic phalanx. During the procedure the ring was removed, all important structures were intact, the bone already healed, with immobilisation the finger could be preserved without functional impairments.
